This term in Mathematics 5.2, the Year 9's have challenged themselves by exploring right-angled triangles and linear relationships. Visual representations based on the students' areas of interest were utilised to help them understand and remember the concepts. See attached for an example of one visual aid used this term. To increase engagement, students were also challenged to share their problem solving with their peers in whole class demonstrations. It has been enjoyable to teach and learn with the Year 9 students and I look forward to their on-going success as they progress through high school.
A kind reminder to all parents and caregivers that the students receive daily homework and also weekly quizzes to consolidate the learning.I pray you enjoy a restful and enjoyable school break. I look forward to meeting you all in the near future, inshAllah. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me via dilek.boduk@irfancollege.nsw.edu.au
