It has been a great start to the year alhamdulillah.
Our students have worked very hard this term and have produced some fantastic work mashallah. For Science, we studied the topic 'Food and Fibre', where students looked into the process of how we get food from the farm (paddock) to our plates. We went to Bilpin to see this process live in action at Pine Crest Orchard. We were able to develop our skills in volleyball for sports this term. Students learned skills such as setting, digging, serving and then eventually started playing volleyball games. In terms of our Visual Arts, students collected petals/flowers from our school garden, press-dried them and then created artworks of mosques, Muslims praying and the Kaaba using those petals. Finally, for Geography this term, our students researched all about countries within Asia. They learned about the relationship between Australia and Asian countries, why people travel there for tourism etc. Overall, students had a productive term and we look forward to having an even better term soon inshallah.
Year 6 wishes everyone a beautiful and beneficial Ramadan inshallah. Have a lovely holiday everyone.
