Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
What a wonderful start to the year we have had, Alhamdillah.
This term the year 5s have been learning about the unit ‘living world’. Students had the opportunity to find out how seeds grow and the different adaptations that plants and animals have in order to survive different environments. The class grew their own tomato seedlings focusing on the different amounts of water the planted needed to grow. For english this term students thoroughly enjoyed reading the book Bungawitta which looked at how residents working together to build their community after a severe drought. Year 5 students had the opportunity to learn volleyball skills from the awesome coaches at Spikezone Volleyball during their PE lessons.
Alhamdulillah, we have had a very productive and fruitful term, and inshallah the rest of the year will be as good, if not better.
