Year 2- Term 1 2022

Assalamu Alaykum wa Rahmatullah Dearest Parents,

Alhamdulillah I am happy to say that this term was very productive and our students really loved every bit of it! Within all subjects, students have been looking at a variety of new concepts. In English, Year 2 has been working on writing detailed narratives with the help of role play in class. In Science, students have been learning about the growth of different plants and how they change over time. Students created a lovely sunflower artwork mirroring the sunflowers we have been growing in our permaculture garden. Year 2 also learnt about the various reasons people use animals in their daily lives in particular the sheep. Students learnt about the multiple purposes of sheep wool and made an artwork using cotton balls. This artwork highlights the multiple uses of wool that students studied about which they depicted through their artwork.

I would like to extent my gratitude to all parents for working alongside me to ensure your child’s task throughout the term were all completed with great effort. I look forward to another rewarding term ahead of us. Enjoy your holidays Year 2 !
