Year 12 Biology

Asalamu Alaikum respected parents, guardians, and students at Irfan college,

It has been a rewarding and eventful term studying and completing Module 7 (Infectious diseases) and 8 (Non-infectious diseases and disorders) of the Year 12 Biology course together. Our students have aspired to become great biologists and through their striving, they have successfully completed the remainder of the compulsory hours of the Depth Study requirements this term.  As part of their assessment students were asked to complete a practical report on the microbial growth of various water samples in class. Their application and efforts for this task were highly commendable!

Alhumdulilah through Allah’s blessing and mercy, we have gained so much and shared many wonderful experiences this term. Some of our highlights include simulating Pasteurs’ famous swan neck experiment and analysing our results, applying aseptic techniques in real life situations, and attending the field study to the UNSW museum of human diseases

Well done Year 12 on your brilliant efforts and I pray that you remain steadfast with your efforts and revision!!
