This term in Visual Arts, Year 7 continue to work vigorously to complete their exquisite sculptural face masks, with ambitious artmaking ideas, students have been granted an extension into Term 3 to resolve their artworks. Year 9 have exceeded all expectations in completing outstanding Still-Life/Islamic art lino prints. The talent showcased throughout this artmaking task has be extraordinary. Year 11 wrapped up their tradition Japanese Kintsugi artmaking task in excellence, as Year 12 work ever so hard to complete their Body of Work.
Also this term, Year 11 and 12 visual art students attended the National Gallery of Australia to view the renowned exhibition 'Botticelli to Van Gogh'. The exhibition presented art masterpieces from the National Gallery of London. It is the first time in its near 200-year history that the National Gallery of London has toured an exhibition of works internationally. This was a great opportunity for stage 6 visual arts students to view and assess world renowned artworks in person.
