Visual Arts T1 2022

Posted by Ms Danielle Jebara on 14 April 2022

Year 7 have began an exciting semester of Mask making, with a focus on Aboriginal Arts for this term. Year 10 are exploring the theme of Australiana in context to what it means to be an Australian Muslim, through skateboard visual design. Year 11 have been assessing Art Criticism and Art History through an in-depth assessment of their first Preliminary Visual Arts Case Study: Timeline of Art History and Year 12 have been working ever so hard to complete their HSC Body of Work.

Earlier this term, Year 11 and Year 12 were fortunate to attend a whole day incursion with renowned artist Abdul Abdullah. The day began with an artist talk and progressed to an artmaking workshop. The day was a huge success, with students declaring it as, “a day they will never forget!”
