Dear Parents,
This term has been a very busy for students learning Turkish. We have covered a range of topics which has allowed students to explore areas such as family, relatives, tourist locations, hobbies, the weather, the climate, weekdays, and the months in a year. In addition to this, students have also learnt about the different grammatical and writing features that are required to write good sentences and stories.
The younger grades had the opportunity to extend their knowledge of the Turkish language by learning about the sections of a house and the names of household objects. Students had oral practice where they greeted one another and exchanged basic information about themselves. They also practiced numerical values and how to count in Turkish.
My favorite part of a Turkish lesson is when I read stories such as Cin Ali to my students.
Have a safe and wonderful holiday! See you all Insallah in Term Two.
