Year 7
Selamun Alaikum Families and Students,
Congratulations for completing a whole term of online learning! During term 3, students have learnt about places to visit in Turkey. They have collated the information in a website. They have included information about some places to visit, some cultural Turkish dishes and other random things which relate to Turkish cultural identity. It was year seven's first experience with a listening exam in Turkish.
All students did a fantastic job! I wish you all an amazing break.
Year 8
Selamun Alaikum Families and Students,
Congratulations for completing a whole term of online learning! During term 3, students have learnt in Turkish, different expressions to be used for different situations, how to order at a restaurant, how to read a menu and recipe and understand the quantity of items. Students were required to create a menu for their virtual restaurant. Later, students role played some of the things they learnt during a live virtual restaurant class.

Congratulations for completing a whole term of online learning! During term 3, students have learnt about different holiday preferences. During the process students learnt about the Turkish currency, season, transport and accommodation. Students then collated all the information in a virtual trip to Turkey.

Year 10
Selamun Alaikum Families and Students,
Congratulations for completing a whole term of online learning! During term 3, students have learnt about different fairy tales, myths and cultural story telling. Students looked at Turkish and Australian commercials for the same product and analysed them. Students had also summarised a recent book they have read. Students also had the opportunity to be creative while making changes to a fairy tale.
