This term has been very busy for students learning Turkish. We have covered a range of topics which has allowed students to explore areas such as Turkish Culture, weather and climate, as well as the different days in the week and months in the year. In addition to this, students have been taught about the different grammatical and writing features that are required to write good sentences and stories. The younger students also had the opportunity to extend their knowledge of the Turkish language by practising how to match pictures to their names and exploring the letters in the Turkish alphabet. We had fun learning the numerical values and how to count in Turkish.
I wish everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday and hope to see everyone refreshed and ready for the start of Term 3. I strongly recommend that students are exposed to listening and reading Turkish books during the holidays in order to improve fluency in Turkish.
