PDHPE T2 2019

Posted by Mr Said on 5 July 2019
Dear Parents, Caregivers, Students and Community Members,

Assalamu Alaikum,

As Term Two winds down, we would like to encourage and remind all students to continue to demonstrate their PE skills where appropiate.

In High School Year 7 10, students have continued to build and work on their relevant units of work. Students are reminded that every PDHPE lesson requires the relevant materials and resources, including their PDHPE workbook, writing material, PE uniform and hat.

Our Under 14's boys Futsal team participated in the NSW Futsal Windsor Championship. Even though the results didn't go our way, the College is proud of their efforts, committment and the fair sportsmanship they displayed on the day.

A reminder that students should be coming to school with a healthy recess and lunch. Please encourage as parents and have a role in the food your child is eating. Fruits and vegetables are extremely important for the physical and mental well-being of young people. Please try to reduce or eliminate processed and packaged foods, particularly those that are high in sugar and salt.

During the school holidays, we would encourage all students to be physically active for at least ONE hour a day. The best way to keep warm is to move our bodies, go outside, and move! Reducing screen time will also play an important role in the development of your child. Please see the attached fact sheet:

https://www.schn.health.nsw.gov.au/files/factsheets/screen_time_and_children-en.pdf

We also ask parents to regularly support their child and the school by checking thier diaries to ensure students are on top of their work and completing tasks by the due dates.

We would like to wish all parents and students a safe and enjoyable holiday, Inshallah.
