Islamic Studies and Qur'an Term 3 2021

Posted by Mr Muhammed Ordukaya on 14 September 2021

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmetullahi wa barakatuh,

All praise be to Allah (SWT) and may peace and blessings be upon His beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW), his family, companions and to all those who follow him.

We have travelled through a very unpredictable term where most of us have not witnessed such a widespread impact of an external event on teaching and learning.

Alhamdulillah, as believers having faith and trust in Allah, we have overcome a very challenging tough term in which I would like to thank all parents and guardians for all their help and supporting our students throughout the term. Our primary students from Year 3 to Year 5 have participated in the journey of understanding the actions of the 5 pillars of Islam and Year 6 learning about the lives of the four great imams in Islamic Jurisprudence.

The our students designed posters and brochures for their assignments and the tasks made our students aware of the important rulings and benefits of ‘Purification, Salah, Fasting and Zakat in which it makes you get closer to Allah (SWT).

Jazakumullahu Khayran.

Assalamu Alaikum wa rahmetullahi wa barakatuh,

All praise be to Allah (SWT) and may peace and blessings be upon His beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW), his family, companions and to all those who follow him.

Alhamdulillah the progress of our students via online Qur’an Studies this term was outstanding. We constantly see our students from Years 3 to 6 demonstrating perseverance in Qur’an studies whilst taking the Hadith as motivation;

Allah's Messenger (saw) said, "If anyone recites a letter from Allah's Book he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a tenfold reward. I do not say that ‘Alif-Lam-Mim’ are one letter, but ‘Alif’ is a letter, ‘Lam’ is a letter, and ‘Mim’ is a letter."

Keeping this in mind our students constantly strive to read and memorise the Qur’an. We pray Allah (SWT) allows our students to keep the Qur’an in the centre of their lives and let the Book of Allah (AzzaWajal) be the light of their hearts.

Jazakumullahu Khayra
