Studies of Religion-(Yr 11 & 12) Term 3 2021

Year 11

Assalamu aleykum wa rahemtullahi wa barakatuh dear parents and students.

This term has been a different one however we have strived hard to now allow any of the external factors beyond our control to influence the quality of education provided at our College.

Students have been working on two topics this term: Religions of Ancient Origins (namely Taoism and Norse Tradition) as well as Islam. The bulk of the time has been spent on the latter. Students have covered the early period of Islam, the role of the Prophet Muhammed (SAW), the principal beliefs in Islam as well as the ethical teachings and method of deriving these.

Students have been trying hard to complete their online activities and work and we pray that Allah (SWT) continues to grant success and ease to use in what lies ahead.

Jazakumullahu khayran.

Year 12

Assalamu aleykum wa rahmetullah dear parents and caregivers.

It has been a very interesting term however I would firstly like to thank all the families and students for their resilience, patience and flexibility in adapting to another round of online learning.

Students completed a major milestone this term, namely their HSC Trial Examinations. Alhamdulillah, students did well (considering the circumstances) and were able to demonstrate their cumulative learning of the entire syllabus during the examination period.

I urge all students to continue working hard and pushing themselves during this final stretch and pray for their success.

Jazakumullahu khayran.
