Commerce, Business Studies & Legal Studies

Stage 5 Commerce:

All praise is due to Allah. We have reached the end of the Stage 5 Commerce course for our year 9 and 10 Students. All students successfully completed their final exams during term 4. Year 9 and 10 students completed topic 3 Employment and Work Futures in term 3. Students investigated the contribution of work to the individual and society and the changing nature of work. Students also examined how individuals may derive an income, and the changing rights and responsibilities of workplace participants. Finally, students analysed a range of perspectives in their consideration of employment and work futures.

During term 4, year 9 students studied topic 8 Running a Business. Students investigated how entrepreneurial attributes and dispositions contribute to business success. Students examined the considerations involved when planning and running a business. Students investigated key issues and processes related to the various aspects of running a business.
On the other hand, year 10 students studied topic 2 The Business and Economic Environment. Students developed an understanding of the importance, and features of, the economic environment, including markets. Students also explored the nature, role and operation of businesses in the context of an increasingly globalised economy. Finally, students investigated cause-and-effect relationships in relation to a major economic event or development affecting Australian consumers and businesses.

Year 12 Business Studies:
All praise is due to Allah. Year 12 students have reached a milestone completing their first term as HSC students. All students completed their HSC Business Studies assessment task 1 successfully. It was a learning experience for our students. During our first term completing the HSC course, we studied the topic of Operations. Students studied The Role of Operations Management, Influences on Operations Management, Operations Process and Operations Strategies.

Year 12 Legal Studies:
All praise is due to Allah. Year 12 students have reached a milestone completing their first term as HSC students. All students completed their HSC Legal Studies assessment task 1 successfully. It was a learning experience for our students. During our first term completing the HSC course, we studied the topic of Crime. Students studied the Nature of Crime, The Criminal Investigation Process, The Criminal Trial Process, Sentencing and Punishment, Young Offenders and International Crime.
