As part of our Community Service initiatives, our year 10 students attended Westmead Children's Hospital to take part in the Patient Interactive Program. We collected gifts from our generous community and delivered them to the sick children across various wards within the hospital. Our students also spent time with the children, talking to them, sharing stories, playing games, blowing bubbles and giving out stickers and gifts. The smiles on their faces were priceless and the parents exchanged words of happiness and appreciation, along with some tears.
It was an amazing experience for our students and we hope to participate again next year.
I would like to thank everyone that donated gifts - you definitely put a smile on a sick child's face!
I ask Allah swt to grant them all shifaa and give their parents sabr.
*Unfortunately due to the hospital's privacy policy we were not able to take any photos inside the hospital.
