Year 11 Business and Legal Studies students are excited to have finished their preliminary course. Year 11 students spent the second half of term 3 enhancing their exam skills. Students had the opportunity to conduct 6 years' worth of Business and Legal past papers in class. Students were able to discuss their results and reflect on their weaknesses. It was welcoming to see consistent effort with many students in Business Studies and Legal Studies. Students are encouraged to read into the HSC syllabus over the break to familiarise themselves before the HSC course commencing in term 4 2020.
Year 9 and 10 Commerce Students studied the core unit; Employment and Work Futures. Students enjoyed learning the importance of employment in our economy. Students had the opportunity to excel in resume writing and conduct mock job interviews. Students were exposed to the importance of awards and Fair Work Australia. The assessment task this term was a research report about a few scenarios relating to unfair dismissal, changing gender roles in the workforce and the scope of employment.
