With the assistance of Shaykh Anthony Andrist, students had managed to plant 12 native trees into our permaculture garden. Each tree was planted and given a name by a class.
Planting trees is a renewable source of Hasanat (good deeds). Anas (ra) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (p.b.u.h) said, "If a Muslim plants a tree or sows seeds, and then a bird, or a person or an animal eats from it, it is regarded as a charitable gift (sadaqah) for him." (Bukhari)Tags:Events |
